Balsamic Glazed Salmon

Balsamic Glazed Salmon
Quick and easy dish to share with family or serve as an impressive main dish to guests. Pairs well with seasonal vegetables like asparagus, green beans or broccoli. In a hurry? You can serve with roasted veggies that are drizzled with an infused EVOO. My favorite infused EVOO is rosemary, but there are many others to choose from.
Notes
Ingredients
- 1-pound filet of wild-caught salmon
- 1 to 2 Tbsp of EVOO
- 1 to 2 Tbsp of balsamic reduction
- Drizzle the balsamic reduction over the salmon filet and use a brush to baste evenly over the filet. Let marinate for 15-30 minutes. (Note: do not marinate overnight as the acidity of the vinegar will start to cook the fish)
- Heat the EVOO over medium to medium high heat in a pan. Add the salmon filet, flesh side down and sear for 1-2 minutes
- Arrange the salmon on a foil-lined baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes depending on the thickness. Baste the salmon with additional balsamic reduction halfway through.
- Remove the filet from the oven, plate and serve.
