My Journey: From Nutrition Enthusiast to Curator of Culinary Delights

Ever since discovering my passion for nutrition, I’ve been on a mission to make healthy living accessible and enjoyable for others. Embracing the transformative power of mindful eating, I found one of my greatest joys comes from sharing what I’ve learned—whether that’s offering nutrition guidance or simply being a trusted resource for others with questions.

From Student to Advocate

I began this journey studying Food Management in college, and once I became a parent, I dove even deeper—learning everything I could about how to make healthy choices simple, sustainable, and family-friendly. That passion led me to a role with the University of Colorado’s Department of Public Health, where I had the opportunity to coordinate and launch an evidence-based nutrition program for elementary schools in Grand Junction, CO. The results were rewarding, but I quickly realized that for long-term impact, I needed to reach beyond the classroom. This inspired me to partner with Colorado State University’s Tri-County Extension to bring nutrition education directly to parents and adults in the community.

It Started with a Taste

Then, about a decade ago, while browsing a local farmers market in Golden, CO, I came across a beautifully crafted, organic extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) from Italy. It was everything I looked for nutritionally—and absolutely delicious. I found myself buying it so often, the shop owner suggested I start selling it. That idea sparked a new chapter for me. Since then, I’ve devoted myself to sourcing the finest EVOOs from Europe, keeping a close pulse on the industry through trusted resources like The Olive Oil Times, NYIOOC, and The Olive Oil Wellness Institute.

Expanding the Culinary Collection

Alongside olive oils, I now curate a selection of premium olives and balsamic reductions—ideal companions for anyone who loves to cook or entertain. In a market full of lesser-quality imitations, I aim to offer products that truly elevate everyday meals.

This summer we are rolling out a brand new product - “Muffuletta Olive Spread” - coming to you from New Orleans, where the world renowned Muffuletta Sandwich was invented. We posted a couple recipes, on the website, that make use of this condiment. Stay tuned for more!

From Retail Management to Gift Basket Curation

But my journey didn’t stop with food. Creativity has always played a big role in my life. While living in Colorado Springs, I was hired as a District Retail Manager overseeing nine stores across Eastern Colorado. One of the highlights of that role was teaching store managers how to design and market custom gift baskets—a skill I absolutely loved sharing. That experience inspired me to bring the art of gift giving to Teton Valley, where I now create one-of-a-kind baskets, personalized for each recipient and beautifully wrapped for any occasion.

Inspired by Nature

Finally, the heart of this story lies in nature. That’s what drew me back to Teton Valley—the quiet side of the Tetons. I first discovered Jackson Hole nearly 25 years ago and called it home for over a decade. Today, I live just across the border in Idaho, where the mountains, the bright stars, and rivers continue to inspire everything I do.
